Aprindo requests review of 3-in-1

JAKARTA: Association of Indonesian Retailers (Aprindo)
chairman Handaka Santosa requested on Thursday that Governor
Sutiyoso review the three-in-one traffic policy, as
businesspeople in the affected areas had reported a decline in
profit.

He said that many working people preferred to go straight home
rather than to a shopping center, to avoid being trapped in the
restricted zone stretching from Jl. Sisingamangaraja in South
Jakarta to Jl. Gajah Mada in West Jakarta, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Aprindo made the request two months ago, but is yet to receive
a response. -- JP
