Appeal to Indovision

I am very much upset and disappointed knowing that my favorite
National Geographic Channel will be discontinued on April 1 and
replaced with another program.

For your information, the National Geographic Channel is rated
one of the best programs in terms of education and entertainment
and I see no reason whatsoever for Indovision to terminate it.

Indovision claims the reason behind the program termination is
the result of customer polling, but frankly speaking, I doubt
very much such a claim for the simple reason that as one of the
subscribers, I have never been contacted by Indovision for my
opinion. And furthermore, my personal research shows that the
majority of subscribers do enjoy the National Geographic Channel
and very regret this one-sided decision without prior thorough
research.

There are other programs which have limited viewers, such as
Jet, AXN and others which should have been replace long time ago.
And we are all very much surprised and shocked that Indovision
should choose to replace one of its favorite and much-viewed
National Geographic Channel.

As we are all aware in Indonesia, there are hardly any quality
programs which can be enjoyed by children, middle-aged people and
the elderly, not to mention intellectuals and ordinary men and
surprisingly enough the National Geographic Channel is just what
we all enjoy viewing.

The National Geographic Channel not only provides viewers with
a vast amount of knowledge about flora and fauna but also
educates us on how to love our earth and on the dangers of
pollution o our environment; not to mention the glimpse of
cultures of other nations.

Having said all that, I hereby appeal to your good conscience
and goodwill to reevaluate your decision and, better still, to
reinstate the National Geographic Channel for the good of your
viewers.

Meantime, I thank you for your kind attention and hopefully
the National Geographic Channel will be on air for as long as
Indovision exists in Indonesia.
