Antigraft award winner dies
JAKARTA: Winner of the Hatta Anticorruption Award M. Yamin
died on Thursday night in Bali's capital, Denpasar, where he was
attending a seminar.
Yamin, who was the head of the education and training center
at the Attorney General's Office, was buried at Tanah Kusir
cemetery in South Jakarta on Friday.
Born in Palopo, South Sulawesi on Dec. 24, 1944, Yamin pursued
his career in the law enforcement institution after he graduated
from Hasanuddin University in Makassar in 1980.
Although he received the anticorruption award last year, he
was not selected as a member of the Corruption Eradication
Commission (KPK). -- Antara
