Antidrug body warns nightspots

TANGERANG (JP): Entertainment centers and nightspots must only operate as such so they do not become a place of drug distribution, an activist said on Sunday.

"It's shameful that many nightspots have had their reputations tarnished by these drug dealing activities," Benny Pandjaitan, a Tangerang activist of Granat, an organization which initiated the antidrug movement, said.

The organization has submitted reports to the local administration on several places suspected of drug dealing.

"This is our responsibility together," he added. (41/edt)
