Anti-corruption, Chinese style

From Koran Tempo

A beautiful, flourishing tree that has internal parasites will, sooner or later, become emaciated and dried out before its eventual death. Instead of merely removing them, the parasites must therefore be burnt or smashed to prevent their reappearance.

The same is true of corruption in society. I agree with the idea that for the time being, Indonesia should apply the tough anti-corruption law like that enforced in China to overcome graft.

Despite the various protests and negative reactions from Western nations, the reality is, many countries are now interested in investing their capital in China.

The investors notice the presence of national stability and legal certainty in China, without being manipulated by big-shot corruptors, who in Indonesia have made most people live a miserable life.
