Antara launches anniversary stamps
JAKARTA: The state-owned news agency Antara said on Friday that it would host a series of events to celebrate its 65th anniversary, including the launching of its stamp on Dec. 18.
The news agency said that the events included the showing of a documentary titled: Fire, Love, Ink Marks that depicts the news agency's activities over the past 65 years.
It added that a seminar on, the Political and Economic Outlook for 2003 would feature Vice President Hamzah Haz as the keynote speaker and Coordinating Minister of Political and Security Affairs Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Dorotjatun Kuntjoro-Jakti.
The celebration will also include a writing contest and launching of a book about President Megawati Soekarnoputri titled: No Shortcut: The Journey of a Woman.
The news agency is scheduled to display some photographs on social activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs. --Antara
