Ansett to open new service

JAKARTA (JP): Ansett Australia has plans to link Denpasar and Broome, North West Australia, every Wednesday with 70-seat BAe 146-200 jet planes operated by Singapore Airlines under the global Star Alliance Network starting on March 29.

"The service will provide direct connections to and from Singapore Airlines in Bali," Ansett's General Manager Craig Wallace said in a statement on Wednesday.

Wallace said the service would add to 35 existing weekly flights through Broome and was designed to promote Broome International Airport as a major gateway to the Australia's top end. (01)
