Anne Frank exhibition at Erasmus

JAKARTA (JP): The Erasmus Huis Dutch Cultural Center will hold an exhibition on the diary of Anne Frank, a Jewish teenager who went into hiding with her family during World War II.

The exhibition, to run from May 18 through till June 16, will tell the life story of Anne Frank on the basis of family pictures and quotes from her diary.

"The history of Anne Frank is still very much alive. Discrimination and racism did not disappear after World War II. Partly due to her story, we realize the value of concepts such as tolerance, mutual respect and the significance of human rights," Erasmus Huis said in an invitation for the exhibition.

The exhibition, entitled "Anne Frank -- a History for Today" is an international traveling exhibition that has been shown since Oct. 1996 in many countries across the world.
