Angry Agung in acid attack

CILACAP, Central Java: In a jealous fit, Agung Guritno, 37,
doused his fiance's face with acid causing severe burns and
partial blindness.

Agung admitted to police yesterday afternoon that he was
jealous after hearing that Kanti Sriastuti, 32, had gone out one
evening with another man.

"I became even more enraged when she wouldn't admit it," he
said.

With vengeance in his heart, Agung then decided to take his
fianc for a walk down a dark street where he doused her in the
acid.

Doctors at Cilacap public hospital said that Kanti had lost
the use of one eye. (45)
