Anger may cause danger

Character is a priceless possession for every man. Patience, perseverance, humbleness and good habits are the traits required for a good character. You may be well-educated and meticulous but if you're an angry man, then all those traits which you built up for years will be demolished in a second.

Once Lord Buddha once went to a village to give his speech. But the people disliked him and scolded him badly. But Buddha remained patient. Everyone asked him: "Are you not offended by our words?"

Buddha replied: "Before coming to this village, I went to another village. People of that village gave me sweets. But I rejected those sweets, saying I did not like sweets. What do you think those people would have done with those sweets? Do you think because I rejected them they would throw the sweets away. All the people said they would have taken the sweets back to their home. Same way that I have rejected all your angry words." All the people fell at his feet.

Don Herald said: "If nations declared international carnivals instead of international wars how well it could be!"

Every country and its citizens should maintain their patience. If they could maintain their patience and their humbleness, then they could achieve everything. Humble words are the messengers of peace, whereas angry words are messengers of war. Anger always succeeds shame.

When wealth is lost, nothing is lost, When health is lost, something is lost, but when character is lost, everything is lost. Patience is the main trait required for a good character and only with your good character can you reach the crown and glory of your life.
