Andrean, Taufik still winners

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian Chess Association (Percasi) Master (MP) Andrean Susilodinata took back fourth place in the 10-year age group in the World Youth Chess Championship 2000 in Oropesa del Mar, Spain, after beating Simon Fandler of Austria on Saturday using the Caro-Kann defense in the 54th move. He collected 3.5 VPs in four matches.

MP Taufik Halay, playing in the 14-year age group, won over Wang Hao Yuan of Canada. This victory earned him more points to collect 3 VPs.

MP Susanto Megaranto tied in the 50th move with Sergio Barrientos of Columbia. The Indonesian collected 2.5 VPs.

MP Ferry Ferdiansyah, playing in the 12-year age group, lost to Zheng Huancheng of China in the 45th move. While MP Tirta Chandra, playing in the 16-year age group, tied with Fabrice Finol of Switzerland in the 48th move. (yan)
