Ancol puts on holiday programs

JAKARTA (JP): Ancol Dreamland in North Jakarta is putting on various programs for the entertainment of city residents during the post-fasting Idul Fitri holiday, an official said on Wednesday.

"The management will provide prizes for lucky residents visiting the resort," Ancol spokesman Mukhrijul Adli said in a written statement.

Mukhrijul said the programs were meant as a show of gratitude and thanks for the peaceful Ramadhan, Christmas and New Year.

"Ancol Dreamland will present well-known dangdut singers Inne Cyntia and Ikke Nurjanah on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, respectively, while Rita Sugiarto is slated to perform on Jan. 16, all on the Pantai Festival Stage ... All shows will begin at 3:00 p.m.," Mukhrijul said.

In Fantasy World, there will be performances by the Kintamani Band on Jan. 8 and singer Katon Bagaskara on Jan. 9. Both performances will take place on the Maksima Stage from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"The following weekend, the Anak Centil Trio will perform on Jan. 14, and Purpose Tiger Clan will perform the next day, also on the Maksima Stage," Mukhrijul said.

"We will have a Snow White operetta on Jan. 16, with child singers such as Geofanny, Saskia, Leony and Agus D.S. highlighting the show," he said.

"The Ancol Dreamland management hopes that with these shows, city residents will share in and exchange happiness and merriment during the Idul Fitri holiday." (05)
