An Indonesian angle

I refer to the correspondence on visas.

Most countries require visas for entry, even Indonesia, to stop unwanted persons from countries lower on the development scale from entering and possibly overstaying their welcome.

The Brazilian mentioned that he stopped going to Canada because they introduced visas and that he doesn't want to go to Australia if they have visas. So why did he come to Indonesia where they have very strict visa requirements for expatriates.
