An army officer commits suicide

JAKARTA (JP): A 37-year-old army officer died after jumping from an overhead pedestrian bridge in Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

Local Police officer, Lieutenant Bachtiar confirmed the incident and disclosed that the victim was officer Ade Rukmana from the Military Police Department. He would give no further details.

A body was also found inside Jatinegara railway station on Thursday morning.

The victim, Hery Subiyanto, 30, was known as the oldest brother of artists Indah Permatasari and Reni Haryono.

Hery had wounds to his face and chest and his arms were broken. Witnesses said Hery was hit by a train.(29)
