Amien Rais' responsibility?

Amien Rais looked worried when questioned over the outbreak of communal violence in Mataram, Lombok, on Jan. 7 in the 6 p.m. news. Understandable, that, having only last week stoked the fires of communal hatred himself at a rally at Monas' central park in Jakarta.

Unfortunately, he was allowed off the hook. Why didn't someone remind him of what he said at Monas -- "Thus far Muslims have been patient, but even that has its limits" -- and ask him if he would like to take any responsibility for this week's death and destruction? Myself, and I'm sure other viewers, would have been interested in his response.
