Alternative for school drop outs

BANDUNG, West Java: The local authority is offering an alternative to primary school graduates who cannot be accommodated at junior high schools.

Governor R. Nuriana proposed that these children consider enrolling in special, non-formal education programs that offer courses on religious education, reading and writing.

Nuriana said the province still cannot accommodate all primary school graduates despite the launching of the nine-year compulsory education program beginning this year. (pwn)
