Allianz opens branch

JAKARTA (JP): Insurance company PT Asuransi Allianz Aken Life has opened a branch office in the South Sulawesi capital Ujungpandang as part of its expansion program.

The office, Graha Allianz, will provide easy access to financial consultants who will assist clients in planning for the future, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The office can accommodate up to 150 employees and is equipped with software for immediate quotation, and meeting rooms for private discussions.

The company said it planned to open at least seven more branches across the country this year, including branches in Medan, North Sumatra, and Palembang. South Sumatra, next month.

"It is part of the Allianz Aken Life's strategy to continue to invest and expand in these difficult times to be well positioned and prepared for time when economy picks up again," company marketing director Jens Reisch said.

Allianz Aken Life, a subsidiary of Germany-based giant insurance company Allianz AG, was established in 1996. It has about 1,200 financial consultants working in 29 branch offices and 15 district offices throughout the country. (jsk)
