'Aliens don't have to be big and green'
Former top model and actress Bianca Adinegoro has found new life as a music video producer, with her company Millenium Video. The 26-year-old is married to Oto, and they live in Kemang, South Jakarta. She spoke to The Jakarta Post's contributor William Furney.
Question: If you had a choice, what would you be doing right now?
Answer: Traveling around the world, especially to Egypt, which fascinates me.
Q: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A: When everything goes the way I want it to.
Q: What makes you tick?
A: My work. If I make a music video I think is perfect, then I'm very happy.
Q: Which traits do you most like about yourself?
A: That I'm easygoing and I try to make my life easy and free from worry.
Q: And deplore?
A: Forgetfulness - I forget about meetings and leave things lying around and can't find them later.
Q: Whom do you admire?
A: My mother, for being so strong and determined when I was growing up.
Q: What kind of clothes do you like to wear?
A: Simple and casual clothes like jeans and t-shirts.
Q: Have you ever had a cringingly embarrassing moment?
A: People have asked me that before, and I can't think of anything.
Q: What book are you currently reading?
A: Waiting by Ha Jin.
Q: Do you ever worry about your weight?
A: I did. A few months back, I put on 4 kilos, but I'm back to normal now.
Q: What makes you angry?
A: A lot of things. Mostly my employees, when they don't do what I ask them to.
Q: When was the last time you were angry?
A: Yesterday.
Q: How did you learn about the 'birds and the bees'?
A: From my mother.
Q: What characteristics do you dislike in others?
A: Hypocrisy.
Q: What makes you laugh?
A: Funny jokes.
Q: And cry?
A: Drama movies.
Q: If there were something you could change about your appearance, what would it be?
A: Nothing. Nothing at all. I'm perfectly happy.
Q: What is your favorite smell?
A: The smell of good food - I love to eat.
Q: What makes life worth living?
A: My friends, family and work.
Q: Do you have a favorite song?
A: All I Want Is You by U2
Q: And movie?
A: Hmm... I don't really have a favorite.
Q: Have you had, or would you ever consider plastic surgery?
A: I don't think I'll ever have cosmetic surgery.
Q: What has been you greatest extravagance?
A: Buying a laptop computer. It cost about S$5,000 and even though I've bought more expensive things, like my car, I never thought I'd own a laptop.
Q: What is the cost of popularity?
A: People always recognizing me in public. I'm trying to stay away from it as it's not really my thing but in my job it tends to be unavoidable.
Q: What items do you carry with you at all times?
A: Two cell phones -- on two different networks, so if one doesn't work, the other will -- my laptop and gym bag - I work out every day at the Hyatt.
Q: Are we alone in the universe?
A: No, I believe in aliens. They don't have to be big green things; they could be tiny microorganisms.
Q: Would you like to go into space?
A: Yes, I'm interested in finding out whether there really are aliens out there.
Q: If the world were going to end in 24 hours, what would you do?
A: I'd carry on as normal.
Q: If you had to go to a desert island for a year, what items would you take with you?
A: Some books, and an antenna and generator for my cell phones.
Q: How would you like to be remembered?
A: For being more than just a model and actress; as someone who made good videos.
