Alcatel sells new cell phone

JAKARTA (JP): PT Alcatel Indonesia launched on Wednesday its One-Touch Easy dual band mobile phone, featuring an integrated handsfree mode with digital sound quality.

Alcatel, which claims a 10 percent share of the mobile phone market, said it has projected product sales of 7,000 units within the next six months, targeting customers in the 18 to 35 years age range.

The mobile phone is also equipped with a wireless vibrating system that can be worn as a pin which signals incoming calls with complete discretion, Fery Wiriaatmadja, the company's country manager said. (06)
