Alatas Cup held in Canberra

JAKARTA (JP): Ambassadors as well as staff members from the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian embassy and
consulates in Australia participated in the Seventh Ali Alatas
Cup golf tournament yesterday.

The tournament was opened by the foreign affair ministry's
secretary-general Abdul Irsan and played at the Federal Canberra
golf course in Canberra.

The tournament, with 168 players, was held to commemorate
Indonesia's 51st anniversary of independence.

Antara reported that the tournament offered Sydney-Denpasar
flight tickets provided by Garuda Indonesia and Ansett-Australia.
