AlamKulKul reopens in Bali

JAKARTA (JP): Local resort hotel group AlamResorts Indonesia will reopen on Oct. 25 its hotel resort property, the AlamKulKul, in Kuta Beach, Bali, following seven months of reconstruction work.

Group owner Feisol Hashim said on Tuesday he had spent about US$1.7 million for renovation of all 80 rooms and development of several new facilities, including a spa, library, restaurant and pool.

"The restaurant is a franchised outlet of the Perth-based Papa's Italian restaurant. It's the first outlet in Indonesia; the second one will be in Jakarta," he said.

Feisol said his group was the only Indonesian firm to obtain the master franchise for the restaurant from Chambil Pty. Ltd. in Freemantle, Perth. He said they planned to open at least three outlets in Jakarta and one each in Surabaya and Medan.

Feisol said his group was currently constructing a new property near Komodo National Park in Labuan Bajo, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The resort would open sometime next year, he added.

The group also operates the AlamKotok resort on one of the Thousand Islands in North Jakarta. (cst)
