Alain Mikli frames easy on the eyes

Glasses are no longer just for aiding vision, with top designers producing eyewear, everybody wants to be fashionably four-eyed.

For people who are particular about their appearance, eyewear shop Lily Kasoem Optical has in stock frames from French designer Alain Mikli.

Lily Kasoem's general manager Hermawan Kasoem said the collection was one up from the mass-produced eyewear of some other designers.

Hermawan said Mikli's collection, which was launched here last month, displays fine craftsmanship and handmade elements.

He said the frames are targeted at sophisticated buyers and carry a price tag of between Rp 3 million (US$315) and Rp 5 million.

Lily Kasoem Optical is carrying 200 models of Alain Mikli eyewear. -JP
