Airport to be built in Flores

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: Minister of Transportation
Haryanto Dhanutirto has approved plans by the Ngada regency in
Flores to build an airport in Marapokot.

Haryanto has asked the local administration to prepare an
appropriate location for the construction of the airport in the
northern coastal area of Flores.

Secretary of the Ngada regency, Thimotius Mesakh Hermanus,
said the construction of the airport is part of the
administration's plan to move Ngada's capital city from Bajawa to
Mby, Antara reported.

Construction will begin next year, Thimotius said. (bas)
