Air Force chopper lands on street

PEKANBARU, Riau: An Air Force helicopter carrying State
Minister of Transmigration and Population Al Hilal Hamdi made an
emergency landing on a street in the remote village of Sialang on
Saturday.

Bad weather was blamed for the unusual landing, spokesman for
the Riau administration Ruskin Har said as quoted by Antara.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Al Hilal was on his way from Burung Island in the Indragiri
Hilir regency to the provincial capital of Pekanbaru.

The minister arrived here on Friday for a two-day visit. (amd)
