Air Asia launches new route

MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: A commercial airline from Malaysia, Air Asia, will start a two-way direct flight from Makassar to Johor Baru, Malaysia, starting this July.

The company will use a Boeing 737-300 with 148 seats, airline country director Abdul Natsir Abukasim told South Sulawesi Governor Amin Syam at the latter's residence in Makassar on Wednesday.

There will be one flight per day in each direction, with a one-way fare of Rp 300,000, he said. -- Antara
