AIDS prevention

From Kompas

I am a student who is interested in social matters and public health. After reading a handbook on AIDS which was the subject of the Idul Fitri 1416H sermon given in the Cijantung, East Jakarta mosque by Dr. H. Dadang Hawari, I compared its contents with an article published in Kompas (April, 13), "Kisah AIDS dari Jalan Anggrek" (Story of AIDS from Jl. Anggrek), and got slightly confused. The information I obtained from the two did not correlate.

Kompas mentioned that media reports on the subject did carry misinformation.

Whose responsibility is it to correct this? Groups united in NGOs for AIDS Prevention have discussed this matter. But, what about explanations from professional organizations like the Indonesian Medical Association, for instance? Or, from the University of Indonesia? Or, from the National Health Affairs Body?

I understand that differences of opinion exist, but, they should be in line with the principles of the national strategy for AIDS prevention as outlined by government.
