AIDS poster winner
JAKARTA (JP): M. Yayat Afianto, a student of SMAN 34 senior high school, has been chosen as one of the winners of the international AIDS poster competition held in Japan.
The competition entitled "Third Kanagawa AIDS Poster Contest" was held in conjunction with the commemoration of AIDS Day, which fell on Dec. 1.
Pelita Ilmu Foundation said in a release that the committee received about 600 entries, of which 20 were selected as winners, including Afianto.
The poster created by Afianto depicted a pair of hands handing the world to another pair of hands with the message: "Bequeath the World Free of AIDS."
Husein Habsyi of the foundation said that Afianto's work was one of the 12 posters sent by the foundation to the committee of the competition. (hhr)
