Aid to Banyuwangi

From Suara Karya

The Humanitarian Foundation of Indonesian Sons (YKPI) is very concerned about the condition of the tidal wave victims in Banyuwangi, East Java. Because of this concern, the foundation wants to make these suggestions:

* We call on the haj pilgrims, who have just completed their haj pilgrimage and have safely returned to the country, to fulfill their duty to help those who are suffering. Now God is testing your haj quality. To lighten our suffering brothers' burden, we suggest that each pilgrim contribute Rp 10,000. From 180,000 pilgrims we could collect Rp 1.8 billion.

* Each Islamic place of worship is expected to contribute Rp 20,000. This will bring about Rp 1 billion from around 50,000 mosques and the like.

Those who care to become involved in this humanitarian project can contact us at: YKPI, Jl. Gadog II/34, RT 012/03, Cianjur, Jawa Barat; Telp 0255-513449.
