AIA offers travel protection

JAKARTA (JP): PT Asuransi AIA Indonesia, a member of the
American International Group, launched on Tuesday a leisure
protection product to travelers of between 17 years and 70 years
old.

The company's general manager PT Asuransi AIA Indonesia Chriss
Lossin said that the worldwide travel protection called "Comfort
AIA" offered personal accident coverage of between US$100,000 to
$200,000.

Unlike other accident insurance products, Comfort AIA travel
insurance covers areas such as medical expenses, trip
curtailments, flight delays, baggage delays, loss of baggage and
loss of travel documents, Lossin said.

He said that the annual premium ranged between $120 and $290
depending on the value of the coverage selected by the policy
holder.

Lossin said that the new insurance product was launched in
cooperation with its subsidiary PT Asuransi AIU Indonesia.(02)
