Age limit for insurance

Until recently I was a reasonably satisfied bearer of a health insurance policy with Allianz, said to be one of the largest companies in this particular field worldwide.

When the policy was due for extension the company informed me that it was not possible to extend because I had turned 65, which Allianz explained was the limit for health coverage.

Fortunately -- more or less by coincidence -- I was able to find a replacement, an English insurer which does not have an age limit at all.
