African leader

I am not writing in reference to any letter or author.

I only intend to make a point of interest to less informed friends of ours who think that Nelson Mandela is either the representative of Africa or the continent's leader, so that they can confidently harass all of us for the actions of one man.

Further, those friends of ours are yet to know that Zimbabwean leader Robbert Mugabe is currently the official representative of the continent under the Organization of African Unity (OAU).

Lastly, I myself and other black Africans can always forgive anyone for his or her ignorance, including those who mistakenly assume we are "odd".
