AFI stars visit Yogya

YOGYAKARTA: The new pop idols of the Akademi Fantasi Indosiar (AFI) visited the city as part of their nationwide tour following the successful televised talent show on Indosiar.

The show was held here on the open-air stage of the Prambanan Temple compound last Monday in the outskirts of Yogyakarta.

Prior to the concert the entourage, comprising AFI stars Veri, Kia, Mawar, Ve, Rini, Dicky, Romi, Icha, Smile, Yenny, Hera and Lastmi also visited Jogjakarta Plaza Hotel on Jl. Colombo, in the heart of the city.

"We feel honored because despite their busy schedule in preparing for the concert, they had a chance to visit our hotel and have lunch here too before the concert," said hotel public relations officer Y. Risnasari.

Slightly different to the Konser Menuju Bintang they previously had in other cities including Medan, Bandung and Surabaya, the concert in Prambanan was titled From Yogyakarta with Love. --JP
