Advice for visiting House members

From Republika

I agree with the members of the House of Representatives who recently canceled their visit to Purworejo, Central Java because the accommodation provided did not meet their requirements (Republika, Oct. 28).

As the people whom you represent, we would feel ashamed if you spend the night in a non-star hotel and are served cold food.

In order to prevent such things from happening again, I suggest that you send your schedule of visits long beforehand to the regional authorities, mentioning what kind of welcome you expect, in which hotel you want to stay and what presents you want for your wives and children, in order that you enjoy your stay.

If you proceed in that way, I am sure you will not have to flee from the area of your visit like in Purworejo recently, only to search for a star-rated hotel.
