Ade regains Asian crown
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's Ade Rai won the light heavyweight gold medal in the Asian Master Body Building Championships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, over the weekend.
The Indonesian Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Body Building Association's deputy chairman, Budi Santoso, said on Monday that Ade edged out 10 other contestants from South Korea, Bahrain, India, Singapore and China who were contesting the 90-kilogram division.
It was Ade's second success in the competition which he first won in 1995. He was also named best athlete in the Pro-Am championships held in Portuguese enclave of Macau in 1996.
Budi said as quoted by Antara that only amateurs were eligible to compete in the Asian Master tournament. (yan)
