Acronyms

May I thank Mr. Fuad Maulani for his information about there being an acronym dictionary. He tells us that the 1996 version has no less than 673 pages, which backs up my initial thoughts that Indonesians have a secret language.

My Kamus Lengkap English-Indonesian, Indonesia-Inggris has only 310 pages, and I rarely cannot find a word that I want in either language -- including all the ber, me, kan, etc. affixes and suffixes.

The mind boggles (a) to think what the 673 pages cover and (b) how many more pages must now be added to get up to date with 1999.

I have looked for this dictionary, but so far without success. I dread to think how much it is going to cost.
