Acer expands in RI
JAKARTA (JP): Taiwanese computer manufacturer Acer Computer International Ltd, said on Thursday it would open several new branch offices in Surabaya, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Medan and Ujungpandang.
Company general manager for sales and distribution in Indonesia Bobby Change, said in a statement that Indonesia was still a market contender despite the ongoing economic and political instability.
Acer began operating in the country in 1988, in cooperation with publicly listed computer company PT Metrodata, and opened its representative office in Indonesia in 1998. (jsk)
