Abortion issue (3)

I am writing this letter in response to Ms. Rita Soemarno's letter which appeared in the "Your Letters" column of Oct. 11, 1995.

I agree with your opinion that women should be able to decide what's best for themselves. I can also accept your opinion that having sex is part of a person's human rights.

I think nobody will argue that children should go to school and be at home in the evenings, instead of hanging around in the streets. You know, I always feel sad when I see children at traffic lights, begging for small change, and I fell angry with whoever makes them do that. But I also think that embryos also have every right to stay alive. Forcing them out of their mother's uterus is not the way to solve our community's problems. Embryos have a heart beating in their body, and (in my opinion) stopping it is a violation of their right to live.

So, if you want to have fun (sex), but you don't want a baby, let me suggest this to you: Use contraceptives!
