Abilio to be sworn in

DILI, East Timor: Minister of Home Affairs Moch. Yogie S.M.
will install Abilio Jose Osorio Soares for a second term as
governor of East Timor tomorrow.

The chairman of the East Timor Legislative Council, Armindo
Soares Mariano, said the ceremony would be held at a special
council plenary session.

Abilio, born in Laclubar, East Timor, on June 4, 1947, first
became governor in September 1992, replacing Mario Viegas
Carrascalao who also served two terms as governor.

The governor's spokesman, Expedito Dias Ximenes, said
Carrascalao and former governor Guilherme Maria Goncalves would
both attend the ceremony.
