A premonition?

A female preacher gave a sermon on a Sunday which was more or less directed toward the women parishioners of the church. She said: "Every human being always has a problem, and by facing it squarely and overcoming the problem, can we grow spiritually. Everything in our life can be planned. However, concerning "death" we have nothing to say as it is beyond our grasp and more often than not we are unwilling to talk about it. Actually we are reluctant to discuss it openly and frankly without reservation. So, if our husband is suddenly recalled by the Almighty, what must we do? Are we going to grieve and lament our husband's death incessantly, when in fact, the family's life keeps going on. The children need money for their daily necessities. Like it or not, we must do something.

"One thing we should remember: Whatever calamity befalls us, the Almighty will never stay idle. He will take care of our problem, although it cannot be seen within a short time, but He knows what we need and His love is unlimited and eternal".

A few months after the sermon, the preacher's husband became seriously ill. According to the doctors' diagnoses, the patient was suffering from liver cancer. Inasmuch as the man's employer is a very humane person, he was prepared to bear all the hospital expenses should the patient need to be treated abroad.

I am thinking of the preacher's sermon at Sunday service. Was it a premonition? This should teach us that we should be prepared for any emergency in our life and take the necessary action to keep going.
