A nightmare for customers in need

A nightmare for customers in need

I realized at 3 p.m. on a Friday that I had lost my cell
phone. I tried to get my number blocked by calling Indosat's so-
called "24-hour Service Call Center", the number of which is
written on my monthly bill: 021 5438 8888.

For more than five hours, from 3:30 p.m. onward, I tried to
reach somebody also under various numbers related to Satelindo/
Indosat, without any response at all. And I doubt that the fax I
immediately sent reached its destination.

So, I had to wait until the next morning to find one of
Satelindo's branches to report the loss and finally get the
number blocked.

All that caused a lot of unnecessary trouble for me. I hope
that the cell phone was not misused in between, which the next
bill will show.

And, by the way, when we related our experience to friends, it
turned out that some of them had similar ones.

So, maybe it is time for Indosat to review the service it
promises, to keep its customers satisfied.

HANS-DIETER HOLLER
