A new cafe at Metropolitan II

JAKARTA (JP): Mata Bar and Cafe, a new cafe on the 16th floor
of Wisma Metropolitan II on Jl. Sudirman in South Jakarta is
scheduled to start operations on Friday.

The grand opening of the cafe will be held at 7 p.m. in a
ceremony to be attended by several high-ranking officials,
including State Minister of Empowerment of State Enterprises
Tanri Abeng, Minister for Tourism, Art and Culture Marzuki Usman
and Governor Sutiyoso.

The cafe's management said in a statement made available to
The Jakarta Post on Thursday that in conjunction with its opening
the cafe would invite people to visit free of charge after 10
p.m. on Friday.

The visitors will be entertained by famous talk show artists
Tata Daddo and Rebecca Tumewu in game and talk show performances
and other amusement, the statement said.

Hot music, beautiful Jakarta scenery from the top of the
Metropolitan II building and wooden Irish chairs surrounding the
cafe's bar are expected to give visitors reasons to return.

The cafe has been under preparation for five months in a bid
to create an exclusive entertainment spot, according to the
