A bet ends up in fatal stabbing

JAKARTA: A friendly neighborhood bet ended up in a fatal stabbing on Wednesday afternoon in Grogol, West Jakarta.

Ajuar Sanusi, 25, a resident of Tanggul Banjir Kanal in Grogol won a bet against his neighbor Sugianto, 27 and collected his winnings. Ajuar then refused a further bet, which apparently enraged Sugianto to the point of murder.

Sugianto went home, got his dagger, found Ajuar and attacked him.

Ajuar died on the way to Sumber Waras Hospital.

Sugianto is now in police detention. -- JP
