80 percent aid channeled: BKS

PEKANBARU, Riau: Riau Welfare Body (BKS) has sent thousands of
boxes of food and beverages and used clothing to tsunami-hit
areas of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.

BKS head Tengku Faadil Jaafar said they had also dispatched
dozens of volunteers and heavy machinery to the province.

Eighty percent of the aid collected, including food, beverages
and used clothing has already been sent to Aceh. The remainder
will be sent to the area soon, said Faadil. -- JP
