8 more questioned over Ambon blast

JAKARTA: Following the arrest of four suspects in last week's
bomb blast at the Mardika market in Ambon, Maluku police are
questioning eight more people in connection with the explosion.

National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Aryanto Boedihardjo said
Ongen Rahyantel, Faisal Rahman, Salim Rumbia, Salamun, Said
Kaliki, Kamrin Makatita, Marwan Leka and Hasan Paliswa were being
questioned as witnesses, although investigators had found strong
prima facie evidence that they had been involved in the incident.

"Whether we will charge these eight as new suspects will
depend on the results of the questioning," Aryanto said.

Police are still seeking three suspects who are believed to
have mastermind the bombing. They are ARS, JBR and WL. -- JP
