74 boxers to compete in Golden Gloves

SEMARANG (JP): Seventy-four amateur boxers are gearing up for
the Golden Gloves championships here from April 8 to April 15.

The Indonesian Boxing Association (Pertina)'s Central Java
chapter executive director, Kristanto, said only boxers ranked
one to five nationally were allowed to compete.

The championships will also serve as tryouts for national
boxers who are being groomed for the Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian
(SEA) Games in September. (har)
