585 kilograms of marijuana destroyed

TANGERANG (JP): Local police destroyed a total of 585
kilograms of marijuana worth Rp 200 million in front of the
Balaraja Police subprecinct on Friday.

Five people were also arrested in connection with the
marijuana possession -- Rahmad alias Gepong, Sudaryo Pangin,
Ghozali, Rahmansyah and Fero Papilaya.

"The arrests were made a few weeks ago based on leads gathered
by the detectives involving the marijuana-ring distribution,"
Tangerang Police chief Lt. Col. Pudji Hartanto said.

The case is being handled by Tangerang Police. (41/edt)
