DENPASAR: This year's Bali Art Festival is to feature 50
performances from both Indonesia and abroad.

Festival chairman, Wayan Dibya, said here yesterday the event
would begin June 14 and last for one month, Antara reported.

This, the 19th festival, will also feature cultural workshops
and handicraft exhibitions.

The head of Bali's cultural office, Ida Bagus Pangjaye, said
the locals, including artists, were very much involved in the
festival preparations.

Both the provincial government and private sector companies,
particularly those in the tourism industry, are funding the
festival, he said.
