5-day open house at IPB

BOGOR: The Bogor Institute of Agriculture will hold an "open
house" at the campus from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4 in observance of its
39th anniversary.

During the event, people will be exposed to a range of the
institute's facilities. including faculty members, the research
centers, and the results of its research, according to Machmud
Tohari, chairman of the organizing committee.

IPB, the biggest tropical agricultural institute in South East
Asia, will also hold public seminars from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7,
while a national seminar, organized by its Biotechnology Research
Center, will take place from Sept. 3 to Sept. 4. --Antara
