25 artists to discuss AIDS

JAKARTA (JP): Twenty-five artists are scheduled to meet at Pete's Tavern on Jl. MH. Thamrin, Central Jakarta, on Saturday to discuss AIDS.

The discussion is sponsored by Yayasan (Foundation) Pelita Ilmu, which deals with AIDS eradication programs, the Ikapari Country Music Association and the Ford Foundation.

Internist Samsuridjal Djauzi, activist Noorwati and Anto W. Soemartono, of the music association, will appear as speakers.

The organizing committee stated yesterday that this discussion on AIDS would be different because it involves artists, who are expected to know how to affect public opinion on the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). (sur)
