24 billboards pulled down
TANGERANG, West Java (JP): Twenty-four billboards in Tangerang were pulled down in the months of May and June, Suwardjono, the head of the Local Street and Park Illumination Office, said after a field survey yesterday.
The billboards were taken down for expired permits or for failing to obtain permits, Suwardjono told The Jakarta Post.
Among the billboards, which ranged in size from 1x1 meters to 4x8 meters, some contained advertisements for Honoris Hospital, Shinta Town House and Taman Jati Mompong.
He said that any remaining billboards put up without the necessary permits will be demolished and that administrative sanctions on the owners will be imposed. (18/26)
